On Pg.113, the servlet specs says :
"The ID mechanism is to allow tools that produce deployment information (i.e., information beyond the standard deployment descriptor information) to store the non-standard information in a seprate file, and easily refer from these tools-specific files to the information in the standard deployment descriptor. Tools are not allowed to add the non-standard information into the standard deployment descriptor."
I fail to understand what are these non - standard information that needs to be stored in separate files and DD reads those files whenever it needs some 'non-standard' information. I think I have correctly made the point, if not pls correct me and if yes, pls. clarify to me what the above statements mean ? Thanks
