For all those you have passed this exam, would you say that using one of these(whiz, jwebplus) is necesary or recommended to obtain a good mark?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Rowan.

Hi Rowan,
I did pass the exam but din't use any of the commercial exams. But I guess it is always a good idea to work on as many Mock-Exams as possible.

I used both JWebPlus and JWhiz
[1] Do you have to have one? No
[2] Does it help to have one or more? Yes because you get good practice
[3] Which one is better? I liked JWEbPlus

If you have experience with JSP and SErvlet, you certainly do not need any software. If you are knowledge ready and not performance ready any of the two software should help

Hi Rowan,
Not even a book is necessary but resources like good book, specs, tutotirals, mock tests (i recommend Whiz one) helps a lot and will surely help you score more than if you dont use.
all the best

I try to use whiz's trial version, but its self-extractor has bugs, it cannot run on my computer. So I give up buying it. If its trial version is not very user-friendly, how could you depend on its real one? I used jwebplus' trial version, its pretty good.

I just took my first practice tonite and I am *very* impressed with JWebPlus. The software is easy to install and the tests have all kinds of options with pretty good explanations.
