Hi All,
Can u please explain me the Value Objects pattern, especially the client part. Hoe excatly the Object from server is passed on to client.Is is serialisation?
Does it use XML in any format?
Thanks.

L: (what is your first name?)
Here is how I remembered the Value Object:
"The Value Object is best suited when EJBs have a lot of attributes that are needed by the clients"
Now, here is a better explanation from Sun:

Value Object is used to get bulk information from the entity beans in one network call rather than invoking number of fine grained methods like getXXX(), getYYY().
It uses serialization.
It doesn't use XML, but u can make it XML compatible by adding methods like readFromXML()
and toXML().
