This is an idea for those like me who have already completed their SCJD assignment, and are interested in putting all that fine old code to good use! I am currently doing a lot of practical preparation for this one by building a web front end for my Fly By Night database server. As I seem to be one of the rare breed that originally used TCP/IP this has been quite easy to do and is proving an interesting test of my original database server design. I have used both Serlvets and JSP in my web application and have been able to incorporate many of the objectives listed for the SCWCD exam which has proved to be a great learning exercise for me. Would be interested to hear if anyone else has tried anything like this ?
