I'm trying to decide which Certification is better to take. I'm thinking in SCWCD but i'm not sure. What do you think?
Thanks.

SCJD is for Java, applets, AW, while SCWCD deals with JSP, Servlets, well, all the server part of java except EJB.
So the goal is not the same.
One is more J2SE (SCDJ), the other J2EE(SCWCD)

Another big difference is that SCWCD is about theory (just like SCJP) and SCJD is about completing an assignment; it really involves programming...

Ruud.

Hi,
When I passed the SCJP, I had to make the same decision. Finally I decided to go for the SCWCD first, because Servlets & JSP is really hot stuff at the moment...
The SCJD I will do at a later stage.
Greetings,
TK

Hi:
I am planning as well to take SCWCD for the following reasons:
(1) Most of the positions I am currently looking for require Servlets and JSPs skills. They rarely ask for deep Java development techniques as tested in SCJD.
(2) I figure preparing for SCWCD will take less time than that for SCJD, as SCJD will involve real programming.
I will be thinking about SCJD or the J2EE Architect test after I pass SCJD.
thx,
wiwit
