Problem with Tomcat

Hi Rancher...
I'm new in SCWCD exam preparation..hope to make it on next september...
I'm facing problem with Tomcat..I'm using 4.0.3...every time I make change to servlet I need to restart tomcat...is there any solution...not restart Tomcat...???

Hi , after making your changes , U need to recompile the servlet which can be done either in tomcat or outside , depending on how your web server is configured. Restarting tomcat after changes should not bother U much , because in a commercial context as U may know , once you have deployed your webApp , and started the server. U do not have to do this again unless during maintenance.
