content of WEB-INF directory ?  RSS feed

Hi,
It has been said in many books that the content of WEB-INF directory are not served to clients. what does it mean ? Can't i put a jsp file inside web-inf directory & access it ???

Basically anything inside the web-inf cant be acessed directly, so no you cant put a jsp inside. Although you can get a file from it indirectly ie through getResourceAsStream from the ServletContext

I kept a .jsp file in WEB-INF directory, and accesses through RequestDispatcher .. is it right ?
