Servlets,
Apache/Tomcat,
Sockets and internet,
or WebServices/SOAP,
or JNLP and WebStart
or Distributed Java, or
I am lost where to place my questions and where to look for previous discussions, am I?

JSP knowledge is required for SCWCD. So if I am preparing for SCWCD, I would for sure check out the JSP and Servlets forums too. Any specific SCWCD questions I guess needs to be posted here. For starting your preparation for SCWCD, you need a servlet engine like tomcat. Any issues related to setting up or so goes to Apache/Tomcat.

Hema,
I appreciate your answer but, somehow, am not satisfied.
What are principles of separation?

Hi Guennadii
This forum is exclusively dedicated to those studying for the Sun Certifed Web Component Developer exam. All questions/posts should ideally be based around peoples problems/experirnces with studying for the exam.
Many of the topics you raise such as Web Services, Java Web Start, sockets etc are not required by the exam objectives.
Perhaps you could try looking at one of the other forums at JavaRanch, which might help you get the answers you are looking for

There's a lot of information about the site. For a fee, I suspect you could get better service.
If the moderator moves your question, then you put it in the worong forum. With 649 posts at the current time, I would think you would understand this site.

Thank you Peter,
it is better to understand. Now I have got it.
Rufus,
the question was not about site but about this forum (and how to orient me between those very related). My finger is aching to click mouse
