Hiya,
I'm studying for the SCWCD using the _SCWCD Exam Study Kit_ book, and I'd like to get through it in four weeks. I love working with a study buddy because it makes focus and motivation much easier, and it's a lot of fun!
I'm seeking a hard-core study buddy who, like me, wants to prepare for the test in four weeks by going through the book together and working together daily through online discussion to solidify our understanding.
If you're interested--and *absolutely* committed to working hard every single day for the next four weeks, please e-mail me at stevej@noumenaut.com. I'd like to start on Friday.
Thanks very much!
Steve

How is this going for you guys?
Are you still at it? Almost finished?
Has it been successful for you?

I Finished! Turning to mocks.
It may be difficult to keep on a consistent pace for everyone, but knowing others are studying is the best encouragement to keep work harder.

Hi
There is no point to cram!!
I first want to make my knowledge of JSP strong to a decent extent and then think of taking the certification exam. Gone those days when getting a Vendor Certification can fetch you a job. Certification (SCWCD) may help to get an interview call. But, what matters most is the hands-on knowledge.
Anybody interested in forming a Study Group in/around Delhi/Gurgaon may please contact me at kunaljaggi@yahoo.com.

Hi
I have been working with Web Component Technologies for the past three years. I have completed SCJP and SCJD. I am now preparing for the SCWCD. This certifications are not merely passport to job interviews. They refine your knowlededge and are a proof of your authority in that area. Even a well-designed resume can lead you to an interview but it is the subject knowledge which one gain from study or certifications and work experience which helps you to get through the interview.
Thanks
Ravi

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
