After reading the post regarding the value of a high score or just passing (Here)
I am wondering who actually sees the score? If I apply to Sun as a programmer, do they look up the score and know exactly how I did? Do they call up folks that score 100% and say "we want you"?
Just wondering.....

Hi Andreas,
Nobody knows your score. That is probably why the discussion about a high or low score is always around. It is private info and usually a person just has to say they are certified and thier score is never mentioned.

I suppose they could make it a condition of employment that you log onto your entry on the certification site so they can see your scores....
I don't think I'd wish to work for an organization with that much of a control-freak attitude though....

I agree with previous posts. Nobody will know your score. The reason simply is: cert is not that important!

Hi all...
No one knows your score except you. It is printed out on your result sheet for you. You receive a certificate in the mail which validates that you are certified.
I can't imagine anyone asking me to log in to the Sun site and show them the test score! I would not want to work for someone that paranoid and untrusting.
Maybe the folks who brag so much about the 98% scores should be asked to prove it!
At the Sun Certification Conference, I spoke to many of the Sun folks. 20% do not pass the tests on the first attempt so anyone who does pass it does mean something....

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
