fill in the blanks type question

How precise should be your answer when ask about (question followed by possible answer):
1. method names?
a. getAttribute or
b. getAttribute(String attr)
2. descriptor elements?
a. servlet or
b. <servlet>
3. jsp tag elements?
a. jsp:useBean or
b. <jsp:useBean>

When I took the exam it was pretty specific how it wanted your answer to be.
It would say something like -- type only the method name, do not include the () or its expected parametes.
or... type only the xml name, not the <>'s
yours might tell you to include those things. But each fill in the blank question made sure to explain EXACTLY what it expected.
