How tough is this exam and how valuable is it ?
I got SCJP in 2000 with 89 on first attempt and never worked with Java again.....

The concensus on the SCWCD is that it's slightly less difficult than the SCJP2 1.4 test, mostly because it's pretty much straight knowledge. If you know the Servlet 2.3 API, JSP 1.2, the web.xml deployment descriptor, security, and Taglibs you can nail it cold. My score on the SCWCD was considerably higher than on the SCJP.

Thanks Alfred. Also, how is the Java job market out there. Does certification help ? Im thinking of making a switch from my VB, Microsoft job for the past 2 1/2 years.....
