How long before we can expect the release of J2EE 1.4 and a new SCWCD exam (covering Servlet 2.4 and JSP 2.0)?

That's a good one. Actually one should expect SunEd to drop the SingleThreadModel stuff from the updated exam, as SingleThreadModel is deprecated as of 1.4

I am very new to this scene, having only and obtained my first certification (SCJP2 1.4, 95% score) a couple weeks ago. (still jobless though )
Apparently J2EE 1.4 is due out sometime this summer. Does anyone recall how long Sun has taken in the past with regards to following up on new platform releases with new certifications?

Zack,
The latest versions of the two leading Application Servers in the market, namely IBM WebSphere Application Server 5.0 and BEA WebLogic Server 7.0 are supporting J2EE 1.3. My personal feeling is that Sun will wait until new versions of WebSphere and WebLogic supporting J2EE 1.4 get released and obtain some critical developer mass before it moves to a J2EE 1.4-oriented exam. But then, Sun may surprise me!
Panagiotis.
