Hi all,
I was just wondering - I had bought the SCWCD book by Hanumant Deshmukh and Jignesh Malavia a while ago, but I have not yet taken the exam. I have heard that the exam has changed, so is this book still more than enough to prepare forthis *new* exam? Or will I need to look into some other resources also?
Thanks

A guy from SUN(Bryan) posted a survey for the new version of SCWCD. He said they just started to collect feedbacks and need at least 5-10 month for the new release. So I guess the new version will not be available until next year.

Furthermore the exam will change significantly as a result of the spec changes of the new Servlets and JSP.
Bert and Kathy are working on a new book Head First SCDWCD, which will cover the new spec.

So what is the better choice: to pass exam until it still unchanged (I think it will be easy), or wait, and pass it, when it will be with newest knowledges ?

We were discussing this point in the following thread so have a read: http://www.coderanch.com/t/166932/java-Web-Component-SCWCD/certification/Bert-Michael-ALL
In short, I think its worth taking the exam and renew when it comes to it but each has their own reasoning.
