Hey all,
Wrote the exam yesterday and thought I should answer all the questions I had before I wrote it.
Used "Professional JSP 2nd edition" for the theory
this is a great book for that purpose but if you're looking for a basic cram style book go looking elsewhere
Used Miftah Khan's and Michelle's notes on the links page (thanks guys) and found them to be great for cramming/memorization.
Spent 2-3 days just writing mock exams:
JavaRanch's SCWCD Mock Exam:
good exam (thanks guys) but a little easier than the real exam I thought
i was writing high 90's to 100's on it before the exam
http://www.withmilk.com/scwcd.jsp:
again good exam, pretty comparable to the real exam
Writing ~90% before taking the exam
http://www.j2eecertificate.com/
hardest of the bunch (go to the "certification center"). More difficult (for me) than the real thing. I was writing 80-85% before the real exam.
For perspective, writing these results on the mock exams I got 93% on the real thing.
Hopefully this will help you judge when you are ready to go in.

Thank you very much for sharing.
This is worth more than 2 cents to me.
There is no list where people can put
this information so we can compare?

Thanks, Tim. That was definitely more than two cents worth!
A FAQ is a great idea. I sent an e-mail to the JavaRanch folks asking them how we can set up a FAQ for "other" (non-SCJP) certs. I'll post the results when (if?) they reply.
