The new SCWCD exam, based on J2EE 1.4, will be available round about March... And there will be "Head First SCWCD" coming up, after the exam has been officially released... You can find out some info about the book at Amazon as well...

I think so... But one thing is that they are different abou 40%... For those, who are going to upgrade it, must study about half to get the new version... It would be not that reasonable for studying such amount to get a new version... But I guess the number of questions in the upgrade exam would be less...

I think its name will be changed later to Sun Certified Web Component Developer for J2EE 1.3... But for now, it's just "Sun Certified Web Component Developer"....

I'm just taking a break from the exam workshop. We're building the new beast right now!
It is based on J2EE 1.4, although I haven't checked to see how JSTL 1.1 fits into that package, Servlets 2.4 and JSP 2.0 are in J2EE 1.4.
There has been no official statement yet, but we'll find out if Sun is planning an upgrade exam, and let you know!
