For Bert Bates(About Head First SCWCD)

Hi Bert Bates,
U said that you will let us have a taste on some sample chapters from the book for those, who are going to take the beta exam. I just would like to know when they will be available? Since the exam is getting closer and closer, I believe that other people also are worrying about it also... Coz we have nothing to read, but SCWCD Exam Study Kit of Hanumant, JSP 2.0 and Servlet 2.4 Specifications....
I hope even some chapters for JSP 2.0 part will help the people a lot, since servlet part is not that much different from the current version...

Hello,
Bert, Kathy, and I have begun HF-SCWCD, but have been stalled by the
exam writing workshop last week. We hope to push harder on the book
over the holidays and hope to have some chapters ready by mid-January.
Unfortunately, we cannot promise to have many chapters done by the
time the Beta exam begins.
Therefore, I would recommend reading the specs (servlet v2.4, JSP v2.0,
and JSTL v1.1) in order to prep for the Beta exam. Also, it is a good idea
to build a webapp (using the latest technologies) on Tomcat 5 so that
you can test ideas and practice your skills. I would recommend converting
an existing webapp to use: JSTL/core, JSP-EL, new custom tag mechanisms
(Simple handlers and Tag Files), and the new web.xml schema.
Good luck,
Bryan

Thanx Bryan for your reply and suggestion on the exam...
So we might have to pay attention more on the specs, rather than waiting for the sample chapters of the book....
