These messages probably get posted everyday, so apologies in advance.
Anyway, I've just passed SCJP1.4 with 93%, which was really surprising cause I'm not a Java programmer and was only studying in my spare time. Buoyed by this result, I've decided to go for the SCWCD exam. Yes, you've guessed it I've no experience of servlets or JSP either.
I've got the SCWCD Exam Study Kit on order, as everyone raves about this book. I'll probably purchase another Study Guide once I get started, however I was wondering which reference books everyone uses for this exam or which ones are the most useful? I don't want a beginners guide, cause I tend to pick things up really easy, but also like books to have some good examples in them.
I've started using Eclipse as my IDE, and want to continue down this path. Would having the MyEclipse plug-in be beneficial to my learning or could I get away with using Lomboz. I'm not in the "money is no object category," but the $30 price tag seems ok.
I've budgetted around $250 for study materials and cost of exam. Like I say I know these kind of things get posted all the time, so I've tried to be a bit more specific in that they help with studying for SCWCD. Cheers for any help.
P.S Happy New Year!!!
It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
