What is the modifier for doPost() and doGet()

is it OK use "protected" modifier for doPost() and doGet()? I thought they are public methods and we cannot override a method with less accessible modifier. Please tell me if I am wrong.

why not you figure out yourself that you either write a dummy servlet or check out api at http://java.sun.com/j2ee/sdk_1.3/techdocs/api/javax/servlet/http/HttpServlet.html
