There were altogether 163 questions and I got 5 hours to finsh them... At first, I think that the pre-test assessment survey does not take the exam time... It did take my exam time about 2 minutes... So I got only 4 hours 58 minutes...
Surprisingly, the details on elements of deployment descriptor were in the exam... EJB Resource References and stuff... At first, I didn't think that those kind of question will come in the exam...
And a lot of JSTL and nested tags.... EL questions were simple, if u know how it works... Servlet portion is easy too... One more surprise is that there are a lot of WAR-related questions and its structure...
My rating on tags(Classic, Simple, Tags files) is tough with the following range... <Easy> <Medium> <Tough> <Very tough>
So be ware of the tags... I got 11 drag and drop questions... And almost all of them are fair(Not too easy, not too tough)...
All the best to everyone, who are taking the beta exam...

Hello Ko Ko! Thank you for sharing your experience!
- Do questions on JSP and Servlets resemble the previous exam version in format and level of difficulty?
- How did you find questions on J2EE Design Patterns?
- Of these two sections (JSP and Servlets) were there more questions on JSP or more on Servlets?
Please share once again! Thank you!

I guess that JSP and servlets questions are pretty fair and the level of difficulty is medium... Some questions are trying to trick the exam takers, but they're really good and fair for SCWCD level...
But for Design Patterns part, the choices are ambiguous and difficult to figure out where to use and define their characteristics...
There are more JSP(including JSTL) questions than servlets ones...
One important thing to everyone again is "Don't forget to have a look on all of the deployment descriptor's elements", as I have mentioned before... I don't want people to fall into the hole, not knowing that other elements in web.xml are important...

Hello Ko Ko,
Thanks for your great feedback for Beta exam..We all will get help from these.
I am using SCWCD study kit by Hanumant....Also i have very few days to prepare..As I got my free voucher on last thursday....So till today I had finished 10 chapters from Study kit...And planning to prepare on 6th Feb.(Last day)...And it's very tough for me to go through Specs. So please suugest me what extra i can read and from where ???
As I don't have very depth knowledge for new topics in Servlet 2.4 and JSP 2.0.....So please send documents or give me URL to download that. Also guide me so that i can use this great opportunity....(sabooraj@hotmail.com)

I just gave the exam today, I wanted to add that I found the questions about session management a bit tricky.

Yeah session management questions are tricky but they are fun... It's worth for SCWCD aspirants to be tested in such tricky questions, coz we may accidently fall into such kinda error in the real work experience... And they are more like to warn us not to do such errors in real world programming...
