Hello Everyone,
I am seeing a lot of messages on the beta version of SCWCD 1.4. when is the real exam available?
I have just started studying for SCWCD and I would like to know where I can get the specs, that fellow ranchers have been mentioning in their posts.
Thank you
Anitha

Hello Everyone,
These questions are in addition to my earlier post.
I am planning to take the exam around March 15. Is there a big difference between SCWCD 1.3 and 1.4?
I saw an earlier posting saying the exam will be available by mid-march.
Can anyone help me with a study format?
Cheers
Anitha

Hi Anitha,
If you are planning for SCWCD go for 1.4, as it has included lots of new and good features.
You can compare the objectives to see the difference.
Follow all links thread for further details.
If looking for some specific info. mention in your reply.

Hi Vijay,
So do u advise me to prepare for 1.4 instead of 1.3 as i wont be taking the exam until april anyway.
If the beta last data is 8th feb , what will happen after that? will the exam be based on 1.3 or 1.4 ?
Cheers
Nileesha

Hi,
I'm in the same boat as you. I want to take it in a few months and want to take the most up to date test there is. I am going to wait for the new test(SCWCD 1.4) i think, which sounds like it will be available in a few months. I would recommended waiting as well, b/c there is no point to takin the old one and then having it instantly become out of date
Regards,
Dave

Earlier I heard something about people who are already certified for current SCWCD exam can take a small bridge certification and then they will be SCWCD1.4 certified.
I am not the right person to give you the details. I think maybe Evelyn Cartagena or Bert Bates or Kathey can throw more light on this.

Here is my take on this matter, I was in the same situation, But I feel time is the factor, If you are ready to wait for 4 months and then take up the exam...then 1.4 is the best. *BUT* if time is the constraint then go for it now....I did take up exam yesterday not beta and passed with 91% now this exam is out of my way(Thats how I think ), I am planning to go on with other exams...In 4 months I can definitely get one more certification instead of waiting on one exam...Offcourse Sun will come up with some bridge exam as Vijay mentioned...which will have only I guess ( EL and JSTL and may be littel more stuff...) then you can plan to just take that exam...Yes you might have to prepare little for that exam again..but the point is you are covered with out loss of time. And by the way the certificate does not say which version at least the current one, so how does it matter and more over if you are attending for interview ..believe me people don't even know which sun exams are there on market far from version...
The bottomline is time...
Well I guess that might help...
