Hello,
i'm SCJP and SCJD sun certified.
I would like to know what you think about the period of validity of two years of the java sun certifications.
These certification exams relatively expensive and need preparing them.
So i think this period is too short. And you ?

If I've understood what was said about these periods, the fact is that it's only a period of validity to take other exam that would require a particular certification. It doesn't mean that your knowledge is condidered to be gone after this date and that you can't show it to an employer.

Hi Flo
Please don't crosspost.
Sun changed their policy on certifications expiring last year. Take a look at the Sun FAQ about Recertification: that will explain the old policy, the new policy, and how to get new certificates which do not have expiry dates.
Regards, Andrew
