Hi,
I just need to get some advice... I don't have much experience for SCWCD & SCEA, should I study for SCEA first since there are books available for SCEA while there's no new SCWCD 1.4 books available yet?
Does getting SCWCD helps studies for SCEA?
thanks!

If you are new to this kind of stuff, I would suggest you to go for SCWCD first... I guess that studying for Web Tier will be more comfortable than studying for the whole J2EE architecture in SCEA... IMO, I think that studying for SCWCD might not that useful for SCEA... If you don't have any experience on architecting J2EE project, then better start from the bottom-up approach... Just a small suggestion from me...

For SCEA, since it covers the enterprise aspects of computer systems, you may need to know J2EE design methodologies and patterns. Thus, in addition to SCWCD, you may also need SCBCD.

Hi Nick,
I saw your signature has been changed from IBM 484, 486 blah blah... to ICED 5.0...
I can imagine that you have passed 287 already... How's the exam? Did I miss your thread in other forums about your 287 exam experience?
BTW, Congratulations for your great success!!!

Hi Ko Ko,
I passed IBM 287 on 27 Mar.
I have left my message in the forum Product and Other Certifications. This exam is the most challenging one among all exams I came across.
Many thanks to you, as you helped me a lot. Without you, I am sure that I cannot pass it.
Did tell me when you take the exam, I will try my best to assist you to get ICED as well. (However, in fact, you may not need my help in order to pass the 3 exams )

Oh, really? No kidding, Nick... I'll be the one, whom you have to assist...

I'm on SCBCD now... I planned to take it on 17 May, while in parallely I have to read for Web Services Exam as well... For IBM Certs, I think I have to wait for the next promotion period from IBM... I can't afford for the real price for 4 exams in ICED 5.0...
Anyway, thanks for your assistance in the future, Nick...
