there is small difference between java 1.4 and earlier version like assertions...etc.

So I think there may not be much difference between 2.3 and 2.4 of servlets. is itnt?.
So will it be fine if I prepate below book for servlets of this scwcd.

"Professional Java Servlets 2.3
by Andrew Harbourne-Thomas"

I am looking for easy undestandable books for begining.

YES. Basically, Servlet 2.3 and 2.4 are quite similar, except that the SingleThreadModel interface has been taken out from the spec 2.4.

You need to know Filter as well, although it was 1st appeared in Servlet 2.3. This topic is included in SCWCD 1.4, but not in SCWCD 1.3.

It is not doubt that SCWCD Exam Study Kit, by Hanumant and Jignesh, is the best book for studying SCWCD 1.3. It is very easy to read and understand.

However, for JSP part, you may need to refer to Hans' JavaServer Page 3rd edition.

For servlets, there is a good article on Javaworld describing the new features of Servlet 2.4.
