I'm interested in learning stuff in J2EE and would like to take the SCWCD later, but my working enviornment is not using any of those things, should I still take the chance? Thanks!

If you are interested, sure; why not?

You can start practising J2EE related stuff using open source projects like JBoss, Tomcat, mySql etc.

Soon you will realize that it is fun and it will be enlightening experience(sometimes it can be a little frustrating while figuring out how things can be working together, but that is part of fun).
