Instead of repeatedly posting this message, why don't you introduce this constraint while the user creates a new account?
Not that this message bothers me everytime I see it or it is difficult for you to post this so often - but just to make things easy for everyone...

We're working on transferring the Big Moose Saloon to a new Bulletin Board system -- and also a name validatoin thing-a-ma-bob.
