doubt about new exam

it seems that new exam is more valuable than the old one, so which one should i choose? if i take the new one, where can i find some study material? what's the difference?

I would suggest you to take the new one. If you have the Mr.Hanumant's SCWCD Study Kit, you are done with servlet part of the exam. As for JSP part, Kathy suggests us to read the ProJSP of Apress. But there are more books about JSP 2.0 in the market now. For example, JavaServer Pages, 3rd Edition from O'Reilly and so on...

I do recommend you to take the new one, which is more challenging and less memorizing than the old one...

For SCWCD 1.3, questions will be focus on the APIs, such as, which of the following API is defined in XXX interface, etc, which you need to memerize them.

But for SCWCD 1.4, these types of questions will be less than SCWCD 1.3, so, you can focus on the knowledge of JSP and Servlets, rather than the APIs.
