Hi! All,

Can someone suggest me how much of preparation time(number of weeks and hrs/day) is needed for SCWCD 1.4. Can someone suggest a good book for the SCWCD?

My background:

I have worked on servlets for around 5-6 months. I am new to JSP. I have cleared my SCJP last week with 91% with 12-14 days of preparation. Is SCWCD tougher compared to SCJP?

Thanks a ton,
Shailu.

As such there is no time frame. It totally depends on your previous experience and how much time you can give to your studies.

If you spend 2-3 hours daily (without weekends) then 01 month should be enough !!

James

Hi,

I think if you have prepated so soon for SCJP then SCWCD should not be a problem except you have a good book on it with you.

The reason being.....when I gave the exam I realised that there are very few questions on Servlets and loads of questions on JSP, that too on new topics included in syllabus......

A bit of advice,.....wait for Kathy and Bert's HF to get released and then 15-20 days of good study should be enough.....

All the best !!!

Swati.
SCJP 1.4, SCWCD 1.4.
