Hi guys,
This is the reply I got from amazon on 1st Sept 2004 regarding the HF Book....

Thanks for writing to us at Amazon.com.

Our latest information indicates that "Head First Servlets & JSP" has
not yet been released and the expected release date is not known. As
soon as a release date has been determined for this item, we will add
that information to our web site.

While we are confident that copies will be made available, we cannot
provide more precise information about the fulfillment of the order
if you place.

Thank you for shopping at Amazon.com.

Please let us know if this e-mail resolved your question:

You just need to ignore what Amazon says--this is their standard response, and they do not give more precise info until the books actually begin to ship. O'Reilly tracked the actual shipment and said that all Amazon distributions should have it within a day or two now, although international might take a few extra days...

So, you will see this change very soon! Again, O'Reilly confirmed that Amazon has ordered *more* than enough to fill all of their backorders and begin taking new orders, it just takes a few more days for Amazon to start shipping.

I'm still waiting to get a copy too

If you can be patient for a few more days--the fact that some people DO have the book means it's being delivered, just more slowly than we had hoped... but it's happening, and very soon everyone will be shipping it.

cheers,
Kathy
