Hi Kathy/Bert,

Can you please throw some light on what would be the contents of "Head First Design Patterns". Would it mainly cover GOF Design patterns(24 design patterns) or you would also be covering J2EE Design patterns? One sincere suggestion. I have read many design pattern books and I felt that the main shortcoming of those books is the ability to explain the patterns with simple example code. I suggest you to start the explanation of each design pattern with a simple example(skeleton) and later explain it with a practical one(keep it simple and interesting, I am sure you would ). And I would also suggest you to make the UML diagrams more understandable(if you have read GOF design patterns book, you would know what I mean). Actually I had plans of writing this book along the lines of Head First series(had completed 3 chapters and had sent the same for review to the publisher) and was also in talks with a well known publisher, but since you guys have already started working on this, I am thinking of backing off  . If you want any help or suggestions, please feel free to write to me at "snep22@hotmail.com", I have plenty of ideas.

You would think, with a name like Tom Clancy the publisher would jump at your proposal
