Hi all Java professional:

I want to ans a question, who can help me?
When I start to prepare SCWCD, I only get SCWCD 1.3 material on hand.
(Due to HFS is not release). So I can only read the book of SCWCD1.3.
Now I finish my book reading. And I go to revision state (Hard memory all API and then do mock exam). But I think it need to take about 1 month to 2 month.
Hey, Is that any one know SCWCD1.3(310-080), when will stop their exam to public? And when will all SCWCD1.3(310-080) face out and change to SCWCD1.4(310-081).

I afraid when I finish the prepare then the SCWCD1.3(310-080) is face out and can't get me to exam. Because I need a SCWCD certificate for my job purpose.....

Sorry for my poor English.....

I cannot exactly guarantee how long the 1.3 exam will be available, but I think it will be here for at least 6 more months... so you probably have time.

Usually Sun will not remove the previous exam until the new (1.4 in this case) exam has been translated into many languages, and that process takes a long time.

cheers and good luck,
Kathy

Greetings from Hogwarts!

Ray, don't worry. I think sun is bound to give you the test if you have already purchased the voucher. So within one year from your purchase date of the voucher, you can give the 1.3 exam even if any 1.5 or 1.6 exam comes into the market..

Best of luck.
Brian

Hi Ray,

Here is the official Sun policy page.

Essentially, your new certifications do not become invalid (which was the old Sun policy), but rather they "age". However, Sun reserves the right to expunge really old certs.

HTH,
Bryan
