Akshatha,
It depends on which version you are opting for. I am sure you would try to complete CWCD 1.4, in which case you probably would need HF book. Because there are few objectives which are not available in the books mentioned by you (though they cover rest of the chapters pretty well), and which are important from exam point of view.

But for 1.3 , the books mentioned by you are more than enough!

hello,

the problem with the Deshmukh is that the errata is far beyond a sane length, although the errata is not even complete. Lots of the errata points are not "typing errors" or similar things, they rather suggest that the authors lack a basic understanding (though I don't believe that, it just seems so).

From the pedagogical point of view the Deskmukh is written very well. It presents the content in such a way that it is fun to read and that you remember it (with more conservative means than the Head First does, though). Search the exam reports forum and you'll find lots of ppl who based their exam preparation entirely on the Deskmukh and had a very high score.

My copy of "Head First - Servlets and JSP" arrived yesterday after waiting for several weeks, ordering and cancelling at Amazon two times and finally ordering at oreilly.de (Germany).

The SCWCD Study Kit has been *very* successful at getting people through the 1.3 exam. I think you're in good shape with that book if you do the 1.3 exam, and you *can* use it on the 1.4 exam as long as you're willing to supplement your studies with the specs, and do different mock exams.

cheers,
Kathy
