How do page designers cope with EL and stuff like that in their development environment. Do applications such as DreamWeaver understand JSP stuff?

Yes, you can use DreamWeaver

Macromedia Dreamweaver. High-end Web-site development tool, not a general Java IDE. However, it has extensive support for JSP (including plugins for JSTL and JSF, with Tomcat integration). Not cheap

And you can use Eclipse + Plugin that support JSTL such as

MyEclipse Plug-in

In fact, all IDEs are resource consuming, even with Eclipse. But the trade off should be the resources and the user-friendly issue, as nowadays, the power of PC is already ultimate.

Talking about SUN Creator, I wanna ask, is it a lighter version of SunONE studio, just like the relationship between Eclipse and WSAD?
