First off I'd like to thank everyone who takes the time to give us feedback on our books! It really means a lot to us. The second thing is that these days it's really hard to make a living writing computer books. Since the internet crash Java book sales have dropped something like 80-85% ! Yikes! So there are lots of books that we would love to write (for instance SCMAD), but we're pretty sure that they wouldn't sell very many copies
Then there's another category of books that we just don't want to write, regardless of how many copies might sell (anything to do with .net for example ).
So we have to pick our titles very carefully.
There are several books that we're working on with co-authors right now, and they are in the very early stages. We don't want to talk too much about these books until they are a little farther along, but I will say that we have 6 HF books underway, and as soon as we have good progress on them we'll let you know their status
Spot false dilemmas now, ask me how!
(If you're not on the edge, you're taking up too much room.)
This is a avid fan of your Head First series. It helped me in understanding EJB to a better level and actualy made me pass SCBCD 1.3.Right now prepraing for SCWCD 1.4 with HF J&Servlets and its wonderful. I would really like to see teh Design Pattern book by you guys.Atleast till now i havent been able to understand the Design Patterns.
I understnad that its very difficult to sell books online, but few generic books would surely sell. Here in India ,its the books in the book shops that sell rather than online.and i guess India is one of hte better markets for your books.right?
So awaiting anxiously for your next book in the series.. Cheers
