Yep -- the patterns book (covers the GoF patterns in a Head First way) is already done and should be shipping on Amazon in the next two weeks

Some more things coming up right after that... stay tuned.

Thanks for asking!

It is the upcoming book after HF S&J and HFDP.

In fact, I wanna Kathy and Bert write more SUN cert books like HF Tiger, HF SCDJWS, HF SCMAD and HF SCEA. But seems...

First off I'd like to thank everyone who takes the time to give us feedback on our books! It really means a lot to us. The second thing is that these days it's really hard to make a living writing computer books. Since the internet crash Java book sales have dropped something like 80-85% ! Yikes! So there are lots of books that we would love to write (for instance SCMAD), but we're pretty sure that they wouldn't sell very many copies

Then there's another category of books that we just don't want to write, regardless of how many copies might sell (anything to do with .net for example ).

So we have to pick our titles very carefully.

There are several books that we're working on with co-authors right now, and they are in the very early stages. We don't want to talk too much about these books until they are a little farther along, but I will say that we have 6 HF books underway, and as soon as we have good progress on them we'll let you know their status

Thanks,

Bert

Bert,

But I do believe the HF exam series is the best seller, isnt it?

For SCMAD, the sales may not be that great, however, I guess the sales for HF SCEA or HF Tiger (which your HF Java 2e) would have a great sales, like HF S&J and HF EJB.

I really love reading HF series because it really makes my life easier when I start prepare the exam with limited knowledge.

Really appreicate with the hardworking of the authors.

Bert/Kathy

This is a avid fan of your Head First series. It helped me in understanding EJB to a better level and actualy made me pass SCBCD 1.3.Right now prepraing for SCWCD 1.4 with HF J&Servlets and its wonderful.
I would really like to see teh Design Pattern book by you guys.Atleast till now i havent been able to understand the Design Patterns.

I understnad that its very difficult to sell books online, but few generic books would surely sell.
Here in India ,its the books in the book shops that sell rather than online.and i guess India is one of hte better markets for your books.right?

So awaiting anxiously for your next book in the series..
Cheers
