Could someone confirm if my understanding is correct about the

Assuming I don't define explicit mapping in DD,

<%@ taglib prefix="c" uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core" %>
is for JSTL 1.1 and JSP2.0

<%@ taglib prefix="c" uri="http://java.sun.com/jstl/core" %>
is for JSTL 1.0 and JSP1.2

I came to this conclusion from examining c.tld and c-1_0.tld in standard.jar.
Since the test is scoped for JSP2.0 and JSTL 1.1, we should always use the first one? Am I right?

Thanks
Shiang

Hi,
you are right,
to add to that, in jsp 1.2 one would need to explicitly register the taglib in the web.xml.

cheers
