I just walked out of the test center with that piece of paper saying I passed with 84% in SCWCD 1.4.

All the hard work in the last three weeks paid off.
Thanks for all the helps I got from you guys, specially Mikalai's study notes. I am one of the odd people who prepare for the exam without HFS&J.
All I have are Mikalai's study notes, the J2EE 1.4 tutorial and the old SCWCD exam study kit, and of course I refer to the servlet and jsp spec a lot. My score is pretty consistent with what I got in JWebPlus which is also aimed for 1.3 old test.

For those who are in the process of becoming a SCWCD, you have to look at the objectives in broader term, specially deployment descriptor. You probably need to know all of the elements and what they are for.

Congrats !! Good Score !

Can anyone suggest some good webpages or docs that give a concrete understanding of the deployment descriptor and its elements. I used to go through the DTD earlier, but now that the web.xml uses XML schema, it doesn't make sense to go through the DTD. Moreover my knowledge of XML schema is pretty much basic.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Abhi.

Servlet 2.4 spec pg. 135 is a start. If you need more details on each element, you can also refer to the specific topic in the spec.

SCBCD first. Then maybe SCAE or upgrade my OCP to Oracle 9i Developer.

Thanks
