Hi All,

Just for educational purposes I am trying to set up the Apache HTTP server to run in front of the Tomcat Servlet container.

Would anyone know how to configure Apache and/or Tomcat to allow this?

Thanx for any help.

James.

You have to configure Apache to forward request to TomCat. However, because Apache is written in C and Tomcat is written in Java, Apache and Tomcat can only communicate with each other indirectly through another piece of software, most likely mod_jk.

But luckily, there are a lot of HOW-TO's on the internet on how to get Apache and Tomcat to work together. I suggest you start with this page: http://johnturner.com/howto

Good luck.
