EL Program stopped my prepration for SCWCD  RSS feed

I have given SCJP, now i am preparing for SCWCD.
But my prepration is stopped at EL.
My programs are not running successfully.following is the program:-

${3 div 4}
</body>
</html>

The Expected result is 0.75.

But the output i am getting is:-


${3 div 4}


Whats the problem.

i am using Tomcat 5.

I am doing this to solve from last 2 days.

The EL is not getting evaluated.
1. Check if the JSP 2.0 Samples with EL is working.
2. Check the dtd version in your web.xml is Servlet 2.4 / JSP 2.0
3. Post your web.xml.

In fact, the Servlet 2.4/JSP 2.0 specification uses a XML schema instead of the dtd that was used by the former specification. Here is how your web.xml file should start:
