Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knew whether the manifest file is covered by the test objectives, specifically the objectives regarding WAR files?

TIA,
Karen

It's not on there. Manifest usage is a pretty esoteric topic, and is really defined in a separate specification somewhere (JAR spec). Manifest usage for utility JARs as part of J2EE applications is IMO an advanced topic. You won't see it on the exam. (You do have the exam objectives, right?)

Thanks Nathaniel.

I was only wondering because WAR files is on the objectives, and MANIFEST.MF is used in conjunction with it.

I don't remember manifest file being on the objectives but I did get a question about META-INF directory in the exam.
