when i use
<jsp:useBean id="person" class="foo.Person" scope="request"/>
<jsp:getPropery name="person" property="name"/>

I am getting this error in the browser: /result.jsp(9,5) Invalid standard action
9 is the line number where getProperty is present
Why is this happening?

(Actually the same error is got when I use the setProperty also)

vivek ja,

you will need to ensure that the person bean conforms to the standard naming conventions...

String getName() and void setName(String)

You misspelled <jsp:getProperty> !! There is a missing "R"
