Question on jsp include

Hi,
One main page include 4 pages.if i modify any sub page,whether all files will compile or only the modify file will compile.Pls give me the answer.

Most of the application servers today determine a jsp file that has been modified and re-compile it without you having to restart the server.

Since you said that you are using a <jsp:include> (meaning that you are including JSP PAGES and not static content) for all four included pages only the page that has been modified will be re-compiled. Why would all four pages be recompiled?

As far as I understand it, re-compilation of JSP pages upon modification is a convenience provided by the server vendors and is not specified by the JSP specification.
