hi,
in the Sun website,
http://www.sun.com/training/catalog/courses/CX-310-081.xml

it is said that the Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform (any edition) is a prerequisite to pass the SCWCD.

My question is: is it really a prerequisite ?
Do I really need to first pass the SCPJ exam before passing the SCWCD exam ?
Can I go to the SCWCD without being a Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform and become a Sun Certified Web Component Developer ?

Please let me know, thanks

You should indeed be an SCJP first to appear for your SCWCD exam. No doubt about it
