Hello i am new to this group.i am preparing for SCWCD.Can anyone tell me if there is any easy way to understand and remember Patterns,14th chapter in HFJS.

Unlike other syntactical stuff, there is no shortcut for learning and remembering patterns. You MUST understand what they are used for, and then you MUST use them by writing sample code in order to remember them.

From exam perspective, I would suggest that first get a feeling of different commonly used patterns from the HFSJ book and then you can go little further on resources available on net e.g.:

http://java.sun.com/blueprints/patterns/catalog.html

and then you can give mock questions to increase your comfort level.
