Hi Shrimon,

EL is an addition in JSP 2.0 specification and Tomcat 5.0 is the one that follows the JSP 2.0 spec.
Tomcat versions < 5 follow jsp 1.2 spec .

So to enable EL processing you can use Tomcat 5.0

Thanks and Regards,
Rufus

Hi,

I don't think Apache Tomcat/4.0.4 support the EL. Either you have ti install some external library from Jakarta project or better you shift to Tomcat 5.0.X which supports Servlet 2.4 and JSP 2.0.

The EL is included in the JSP spec from version 2.0 prior it was a part of JSTL libraries.

Hope it help you

Thanks
