Since no one else seems to have complained about it I must be the only one who doesn't have a 17" monitor.
But the columns of text in your articles and newsletters are way too wide to be able to read it without scrolling back and forth. Fortunately the text in the forums are just the right size, but the only way I can read the articles is to copy and paste the text in a word processor and print it from there, (a real pain in the ass).

What OS are you on and what browser?
I am using IE in Win2000 and WinNT and it looks just fine. Also, what resolution do you have your screen set to. I am at 1024 X 768.

I agree with you that it is very annoying to have that horizontal scroll bar. I run into this problem fairly frequently when I access JavaRanch from the library.

It has more to do with the screen resolution than anything else. 800 x 600 isn't quite wide enough for all the graphics to fit on the screen. The tables are as wide as the graphics because you can't wrap a graphic.

We'll work on it and see what we can come up with.

I have noticed more and more web sites with a "printer friendly" icon. That wouldn't help me in reading your articles but at least it would help if I wanted to print them.

Next to every article is a link to a printer-friendly version of that article. You can use that as your "reading" version, if you like.

what if we put solar panels on top of the semi truck trailer? That could power this tiny ad:
