Hi from Peru...

I've just passed the SCWCD scoring 89%. It took me around 5 weeks of studying to be prepared for the exam. I used the following..

- Servlets & JSP specs.
- Sun J2EE Tutorial (online)
- This guide that i found: http://java.boot.by/wcd-guide/index.html
- j2ee_1_4.xsd, jsp_2_0.xsd, web-app_2_4.xsd, web-jsptaglibrary_2_0.xsd
- JWebPlus simulator (really good !!)
- Test code: Tomcat / Eclipse

There is really no need of book for this exam. I you have one use it. Everything is in the specs. Of course do not read all. Prepare a Checklist of the SCWCD topics and look for them in the specs. Believe me.. it is enough.

Of course, an exam simulator is unavoidable. JWebPlus was enough. I was really impressed during the exam about how similar were the real questions to JWebPlus.

My scoring in this simulator was:
76% -> 76% -> 71% -> 76% -> 82% -> 92% -> 86% .. Real : 89%

Well.. There are different ways to study for the SCWCD. This was mine.
I hope it will help you.

See you ranchers...

Hi,

Well done. 89% is really a good score.
I think there are a lot of people here who will appreciate those tips.

Congrats Jens !!

one quick question - how does one read j2ee_1_4.xsd, jsp_2_0.xsd, web-app_2_4.xsd, web-jsptaglibrary_2_0.xsd files ?

Are these supposed to open in web browser ?

Thx

ami
