Hi Java Gurus,

I am preparing for SCWCD for the last 1 month. As suggested by ppl in this forum I picked up HEad First book and read it through.
I have worked in Servlet quite a bit, but was amazed to learn new things from the book.
The problem I am facing is reagrding JSP/Custom Tags, I haven't worked on this area and so even after reading the material in the book I scored around 60% in the excercise after each of these chapters.

Plan to give this exam next month.
I am confused that
1) Shud I start doing mocks and then refer to the book in the areas I dont do well
2) I shud use some reference material to strengthen JSP and then start preparing for the exam ?

If the answer is 2) can u please refer me to a e-book/book.tutorial that will make me more confident in those areas

Thanks for the help in advance :-)

Regards,
Manish

Hi,

this is a purely preference choice. Either is a valid approach. It is hard to know what to revise if you are not clear on where the weakness is, but on the other hand you don't want to be familiar with the coffee cram exam questions when you are more familiar as that will skew the results you get.

This is a link to the J2EE 1.4 tutorial and contains all the info you will need to freshen up the areas you need. Have a look at these links too.

Good luck

HTH

Mat
