The methods you implement and which are called by the container like servlet's init(), etc.

Hi, let me give you some details.
There are three callback methods in JSP

jspInit() - which you can override (similar to init() of servlet)

jspDestroy() - which also you can override (similar to destroy() of servlet)

_jspService() - This method you must never try to override. This method is created by the container in the generated servlet. And everything you write inside JSP expressions and scriplets goes inside this method.
