Hi all

I have planned to take SCWCD.Just now started reading head first.

in pg.no 11

They stated in a block

when the browser gets to an image tag, it generates another HTTP request to go get the resource described.in this case the browser will make a second HTTP request to get the picture referred in image tag

My doubt is

Suppose if we are requesting a page which contains 10 images, then 10 more requests are sent to the server...........isn't it?

Its an overhead for a server know......???

Hi,

Yes you are right. That's why webpages containing more images takes more time compared to simple webpages. If you can access webserver log, there you can find the GET requests for each image.

Hi,

I think the HTTP methods (GET,PUT) etc. are not designed to get multiple resource at one time, so the client have to do multiple request.

thanks
