Hey Rohit,
It is very sad to know this news. But, I can tell you .."A FAILURE IS NOT A DEFEAT". It is not very easy to accept the failure. But it is good you came out with a good decision.Since you have taken the real exam, you should be knowing the pattern of the questions and the areas to concentrate more.I suggest you concentrate first on the areas you badly lost through your score report.
A Failure is only temporary.I think this result will erase itself and we can all see one more guy aboard on SCWCD pass.
And one MOST IMPORTANT thing for the real exam is PATIENCE.Always think that "IF THIS QUESTION SEEMS DIFFICULT,THERE WILL BE ALL EASY QUESTIONS".This is what I think when I begin taking the exam.I am writing all this because I too tasted failure in SCJP when I took it first time.
I hope my words may give some boost to you.WISH YOU ALL THE VERY BEST!!!

Hi Rohit,
Its your great personality that you have shared your failures too, which many people dont do. Life is not going to end if you failed once. It all happens as we go on in life. So dont be panic and never give up.
Read more and take that exam again in another 2 to 3 weeks. I request you to concentrate more on EL, custom tags and JSTL during your preparation as these consists of almost more than 50% in the exam. Make some notes to read just the day before of your exam to quickly recollect all important things. All the very best for your exam. Hope you get good score. Keep posting!

I took the SCWCD two days ago (earlier post). If you are strictly determined to pass the exam, then focus on the areas that you are weak in (i.e. custom tags, design patterns). Do NOT get nervous when you encounter difficult questions. Just mark them and go back to them later. You should make a first pass on all the questions within the exam within the first hour, answering those that are easy and natural to you. Then answer the marked ones on your second pass. Having said then, I really suggest you spent more time studying before taking the tets again. Certification is supposed to be a stepping stone in LEARNING, not just obtaining credentials. I personally don't take them unless I am 100% confident. My two cents.
